libaften0 software package provides audio AC3 encoder - runtime files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libaften0
libaften0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libaften0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libaften0 *
You will get with libaften0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
